This code is formulated with a view to standardizing the design of spoil areas for hydropower projects.
This code is applicable to the design of spoil areas for large- and medium-sized hydropower projects.
The design of spoil areas shall adapt to?local conditions, be safe, reliable and cost effective, and meet the requirements of environmental protection and soil and water conservation.
In addition to this code, the design of spoil areas for hydropower projects shall comply with other current relevant standards of China.
